The tourism industry in the Philippines has truly been successful in coordinating local and international authorities to come and visit the beautiful archipelago. For this reason, a lot of tourists and investors have gained interest in the country due to the tremendous amount of natural resources yet to be developed. Tourist destinations as well as attractions have also lured the tastes of foreign and domestic visitors. The province of Leyte has also been part of this success. It has concentrated in the preservation of natural resources and has focused on the tourist destination, such as pristine beaches, vibrant festivities, historical landmarks and more. If you have not visited the island, this place is a must-see. For scuba diving enthusiasts, you will never get bored as you can really experience the beauty of extensive marine sanctuaries. Limestone structures of fossilised corals and different kinds of sea creatures are abundantly fascinating.

It has also a vast potential for development when it comes to new technologies aside from focusing mainly on natural resources. The province has welcomed the presence of Business Process Outsourcing companies, the increasing trend of relocating the whole function of a business to either third-party or self-owned service providers. This has become the trend because of the typically low-cost locations around the country. Various food chains, oil milling industries and manufacturers of speciality products have also managed to drive the province economically. Meanwhile, cottage industries, furniture manufacturing and agricultural crafts have really played a major role in promoting the island not only within the country but also to other parts of the world.
