Leyte Delicacy

Binagol is a delicacy from Tacloban, it is a delicious delicacy derived from talyan, a type of gabi that grows in Tacloban. Made from ground sticky rice flavored with rich dark chocolate, grounded gabi and a blend of coconut milk, sugar, milk, eggs, butter and seasoning. Dagami town in Tacloban has been known as the manufacturer of this native delicacy.

Moron or chocolate moron is like suman but the main ingredient is ground malagkit or glutinous rice. they also add cacao or chocolate powder to add a chocolate flavor.

Pastillas de leche or milk candies can be found in downtown area of Tacloban City and also in Carigara Leyte.
