Madonna of Japan, also well-known as Maria Kannon, was a endowment from the Japanese people to the Philippines as a symbol of peace and companionship between the two countries. As expected, it is also referred to as the sculpture of the Goddess of Peace. The picture stands on a rock amidst a landscaped garden. Tall trees and pretty flowering plants can be seen within the park along with tangible benches where one can sit, pray and reflect. But young locals have turned this sacred place into a lover’s lane.
